As spring and longer days approach, it’s a great time to evaluate your sales and marketing funnels. In homage to my favorite sporting season of March Madness (Go Nova), we’re dedicating this month’s newsletter to Lead Gen Madness!
Do you have more qualified leads than you want? If you are like most of us, there are never enough. Below we share our thoughts on the present and future of lead generation best practices and supporting technologies.
For friends and colleagues attending the Health IT Marketing and PR Conference (HITMC) next month in Boston, we’re looking forward to a week of learning, sharing, and fun. Whether or not you are attending HITMC, reply to this email to send any questions you have related to marketing automation, and we’ll answer them during our recorded presentation.
Happy March,
Chris Slocumb | President
Improve your digital advertising ROI
Pay-per-click (PPC) can be a game changer in quality lead generation, but only if you do it right. If you don’t, then it is a waste of time and money. Unfortunately, faulty campaign setup and bidding can lead you to believe PPC doesn’t work, and that’s not the case!
A solid, optimized campaign can open doors that organic search engine optimization (SEO) alone cannot. We understand though that not everyone has the time to learn the intricacies of digital advertising.
Similar to PPC, marketing automation (MA) is a fantastic channel for lead generation if done properly. There is a right way and a wrong way to set up a marketing automation campaign. The wrong way leads to frustration and little or no results. The right approach, focused on content and persona targeting, can lead to engagement and a healthy pipeline.
Clarity Quest’s Chris Slocumb and Ava Haekler will answer the MA questions for every experience level at HITMC next month. If you’d like to attend the conference, sign up here. If not, you can still read our blogand stay tuned for our white paper!
B2B marketing can be tougher than B2C. B2B’s sales cycles are typically longer since 94% of buyers conduct online research before buying.
If typical ways of finding leads are not giving you the results you are looking for, you may need to get out of your comfort zone and try some new channels and campaigns.
At one point, there were no technology stacks to assist with lead generation or automating marketing tasks. Now, you must stay on your toes if you want your brand and company to continue to remain relevant.
Check out what these marketing experts predict for the future of lead generation! Hint: personalization will get even more precise.
