March 1-The Connecticut Technology Council (CTC) announced 53 finalists for the 8th Women of Innovation Awards Program. One winner for each of the eight awards categories will be announced at the Women of Innovation Awards Dinner at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington, CT on March 1, 2012. This program honors professionals and students who demonstrate leadership and innovation in the science, engineering, and technology fields. The finalists were nominated by peers based on their creative thinking and problem solving abilities, professional experience, leadership, and demonstration of innovation. These eight women have proven be outstanding contributors and role models within their designated fields, as well as their communities as a whole. To speak on behalf of these extraordinary nominees, Dr. Alicia Abella, executive director of the Innovative Services Research Department at AT&T, will give the keynote address.
