Everyone has their own best practices and tools for getting the job done. Some include holding onto their iPhone for dear life or learning how to stay organized even during the chaotic times. Our recurring segment “It Works for Me” features business professionals sharing their secrets on how they get the job done. Next up is Cori Omundson, Sr. Account Relations, Clarity Quest Marketing.

Company Name: Clarity Quest Marketing

Job Title: Sr. Account Relations

Where do you live? Mercer Island, WA

Where do you work? Seattle, WA

What is your office environment like? A multi-use space that accommodates a variety of working styles. There are no cubicles. The space is comprised of an open area with desks, meeting areas with couches, and a full kitchen. Around the perimeter are conference rooms and private offices for those who prefer working in small groups or need a quite space to crunch numbers.

What technology do you use at work? Samsung Galaxy 6, MacBook Pro

What technology do you use at home? Samsung Galaxy 6, MacBook Pro, Samsung Tablet and iPad

On a scale of 1 (never) to 10 (always), how often are you connected to your smartphone? Definitely a 10.

What is your favorite organizational tool? My Google Calendar. However, I still list my to-dos in a notebook using my favorite Le Pen.

What website/app/tool are you obsessed with at the moment? Trello. I use it for all aspects of my life: volunteer, personal, and project management.

Can you recommend a book? The Design of Everyday Things: Revised and Expanded Edition by Don Norman. It takes a look at the psychology of why things are designed the way they are and how we solve problems with the use of design.

What’s your best time management tip? Take care of the small tasks right away. Otherwise your list will build and you will never get to them.

What’s the strangest thing in your office? With today’s technology, it feels a bit strange to have phone booths in the office. However, I use these daily for important client calls when I need privacy. I love the retro feel of the booths.
