Display Special Holiday Hours with Google My Business

Local online marketing helps businesses inform potential customers and provide exceptional customer service. One great way to communicate with customers online is by ensuring your information is up to date. When customers search for your business, products, or services online, they often see information from your Google My Business page. Just in time for the holiday season, Google My Business introduced a new feature that allows companies to list irregular hours online for holidays and special events!

Our post on the Stonington-Mystic, CT Patch explains the benefits of using Google My Business to update hours of operations for seasonal changes. The steps for setting irregular hours are:

  1. Access your Google My Business account
  2. Ensure you have your regular hours listed on your company page
  3. Set your desired company location
  4. Select “special hours” from the location details page
  5. Choose your desired date, opening time, and closing time
  6. If you are planning to close all day, indicate this by checking the “closed” box
  7. If you intend to have irregular hours on another date, click “add another”
  8. Select “apply” and your new hours will post on the appropriate days
